The Corgi The Aviation Archive series is a collection of detailed metal aircraft models, designed mainly for the discerning collector. Limited edition with numbered card.
Information about the template:
The Messerschmitt Me 410 Hornisse was a German fighter aircraft that was intended to replace the Messerschmitt Bf 110. The aircraft was based on the unsuccessful Me 210, but had more powerful engines and a longer fuselage.
The first aircraft entered combat units in January 1943. They were first used in combat over England as night fighters, later serving in the Mediterranean and on the Eastern Front. From 1944, they began to replace the Bf 110 in Zerstörer units.
The reconnaissance version had cameras in the bomb bay and carried no armament. The Me 410 A-1 version served as a fighter and light bomber, the A-1/U4 version was armed with a 50mm cannon. From 1944, armament in the form of 210mm rockets was also used.
The Me 410's performance did not significantly surpass that of its predecessor, the Bf 110, and so its production was terminated in 1944.
Model specifications:
- scale: 1:72,
- span: 228 mm,
