The Corgi The Aviation Archive series is a collection of detailed metal model aircraft, intended mainly for the discerning collector.
Template information
The development of the Eurofighter Typhoon multipurpose fighter aircraft, which took place in cooperation with several European companies, began in the 1980s.
The goal was to develop an advanced combat machine that would be able to perform a variety of tasks, primarily the role of an interceptor. The Typhoon is undoubtedly one of the best fighter jets today. When designing the machine, the designers decided to use a delta wing in conjunction with moving duck surfaces.
The aircraft is powered by two Eurojet EJ200 jet engines, so it can easily exceed the speed of Mach 2. The fly-by-wire controlled system contributes to the excellent maneuverability of the eurofighter.
