Corgi - 1:72 Hawker Hurricane Mk I RAF No.601 Sqn, P3383, Billy Fiske, RAF Tangmere, England, Battle of Britain, August 1940 - AA27609
The Corgi The Aviation Archive series is a collection of detailed metal aircraft models, designed mainly for the discerning collector. Limited edition with numbered card.
Information about the template:
The Hawker Hurricane was a British single-seat fighter aircraft used by the RAF and other Allied air forces during World War II. Hurricanes, along with Spitfires, formed the backbone of the British fighter force during the Battle of Britain. The aircraft was developed in the mid-1930s and was the first modern fighter monoplane of the Royal Air Force.
However, it was gradually replaced by the more modern and powerful Spitfire, although it was more difficult to produce - and also more expensive. Later, the Hurricane was used as a fighter-bomber, armed with 40mm cannons in North Africa, destroying tanks of the German Afrikakorps, or as a naval Hawker Sea Hurricane, operating from the decks of British aircraft carriers.
Model specifications:
- scale: 1:72,
- span: 133 mm,
- material: metal and plastic.
