M4 Sherman (oficiální označení americké armády Medium Tank, M4; britské Tank, Cruiser, General Sherman) byl nejznámější americký střední tank ve druhé světové válce a krátce po ní. První prototyp byl dokončen dne 2. září 1941. Měl boční průlez, který byl vyřazen z výroby modelů. T6 se stal standardizovaný jako M4 a výroba začala v říjnu 1941.
