One trainer and touring aircraft had a very simple structure of steel tubes coated canvas with steel wire reinforcement, drive ensured by twin 36 horses. Thanks to the excellent flight characteristics and advantages resulting from an unusual hull design - the Aeronca is virtually impossible to make a hard landing because the pilot directly seen on Wheels, and could accurately estimate the moment of touchdown, beside the pilot was a place for the traveler, so the student to "read lips" proper piloting - capable owners to fly solo after only 5 hours of training. Aeronca were widely imitated by amateur builders and airlines companies all over the world - it has not spared Czechoslovakia, Be-60 "Bestiola" from Beneš-Frost is a clear example.

Nowadays most likely choose a small AC motor - for relaxed flying with "half motor glider" just motor AXI 2208 class and Li-poly two cells 800 mAh. In this case, you have to be redesigned motor mount (insert a new motor mount from 2 mm birch plywood), but it should not pose a serious problem.
