An optical encoder is designed for larger models (especially helicopters) flying under the open sky.
Installation is simple. Attach the transmitter to the helicopter tail beam using two cable ties supplied with the sensor and telemetry cable to the control panel. For aircraft models can consolidate the sensor as the engine cover screws or double-sided adhesive tape so that the unobstructed "view" on the rotating propeller.
The sensor can be placed under favorable conditions, at a distance of up to 1500 mm from (a) a propeller or rotor - provided that it is well away from objects that could affect the measurements (eg stabilizing flats, "paddles" with helicopter ).
