Product Description

BETA 1400 Trainers motor glider made from high grade extruded polypropylene EPP driven by an AC motor. Thanks to its design with the engine mounted on a pylon under the wing very well to rough handling and endure even harder "čuchometrické" bow sticking to native soil, that of classical models with engine adds at least lead to damage to the propeller.

The hull fitted with a brushless motor (outrunner, CD2622) housed in a wing pylon with a fixed propeller mounted controller 20 A and rudder and elevator servos is extracted from EPP foam. Canopy is removable with magnetic closures. Two-piece wing is also molded from EPP, the ailerons are controlled by 2 servos stored in the wing with a short straight wire rods. Wing combine carbon tube connection. The tail surfaces in a classical arrangement are made of EPP, are controlled by means of wire cables. Engine cooling facilitates cooling air in the leading portion of the pylon, the cooling air flows through channels around the motor housing.

Preparing for a flight includes only the tail sticking (medium glue), deployment of wing halves, connect the receiver and connect the drive battery. Controlled by the ailerons, rudder, elevator and motor speed.

The control model is a classic four-channel transmitter CADET 4 2.4GHz FHSS (frequency hopping system with spread spectrum) with cross controllers arranged in Mode 1 (throttle right), trims and switches sense deflections for all channels. It is also equipped with a charging plug for charging the transmitter battery in the transmitter (suitable charger are Hitec CG-22, CG-S32). To power the transmitter will need 8 AA (AA-size) alkaline batteries or rechargeable batteries (not included RC set). If you do not like holding the transmitter in your hands, you can add a strap Hitec (# 8311) or place it in a tray to transmitter Optic 6 (just to be generous with foam tape on the sides of the transmitter housing).

Like in the case of our other sets (Skylady, Cessna 480 ...) is RC equipment can later be used in other models of the same category.

BETA 1400 is designed for beginners as-always delivered - under the supervision of an experienced pilot, as well as for anyone who wants just so beautiful holiday travels. Flight characteristics are pleasant and straightforward. Model will acquaint you with full control of the model around all three axes coordinated control with the right rudder, ailerons and elevator. This experience is "like finding" no later than right after you start flying with their first aerobatic models or (semi) scale model of any kind. By changing the ratio of the lengths of servo and rudder deflections can adjust the size of a large range. Beginner, start with small variations, safe and excessive "steerage"; experienced pilot sets the size, allowing a little bit of that větroňové basic aerobatics - loops, barrel rolls, Wing Over Beta going pretty well! The power is sufficient for a lively pitch, while not overly model přemotorovaný, which could create difficulties for novice pilots. BETA 1400 can also be used very strong thermals in the sky and can withstand "all ages".

BETA 1400 is supplied with a Li-poly battery 11.1 V 1300 mAh (20C load), which corresponds to a fixed propeller 5x4. "Model no problems" can carry "tříčlánky until about 2200 mAh.

RC set includes: body molded from EPP with brushless motor mounted, fixed propeller 5x4 "speed controller 20A and 2 servos, wing molded EPP installed with 2 servos, tail of EPP, carbon tube wing joiner, four-channel transmitter CADET 4 2.4GHz FHSS 2.4GHz FHSS with six-channel receiver, power Li-poly battery 11.1 V 1300 mAh (20C), 12 V fast and detailed instructions for building and flying.

Important - Pair

In connection with the unification of types 2.4GHz transmitters and receivers supplied in our RC sets (ie the introduction of new RC kit Cadet 4) in RC sets ALPHA 1500 SKYLADY III 2.4 GHz and 2.4GHz CESSNA 480 supplied currently changing the pairing.

RC kits now allow you to work with receivers contained in RC sets 1400 Beta, Alpha 1500 Skylady III 2.4GHz, 2.4GHz Cessna 480 - a receiver with an older version "Type 1" (do not assume serial number plate) and receiver current "Type 2 "(marked with a sticker with the serial number). Likewise, they can work with the RX-600 ("Type 2") supplied as part of the RC CADET 4 sets or sold separately.

For pairing with the type of receiver transmitter must first switch to the appropriate mode of operation:

Pairing with the receiver "Type 1" (the complete procedure including the choice of the transmission mode)

First The transmitter is turned off.
Second Press and hold the "PDM" on the transmitter. Turn on the transmitter. By the time the transmitter green LED flashes slowly and the red LED flashes twice the speed, the "PDM" release.
3rd The red LED blinks rapidly several times, and then both LED still for a few seconds as described above indicate that the transmitter operating mode has been selected. Then both LEDs blink quickly and lights up permanently.
4th Turn the receiver on (connect flight battery to the speed controller). The transmitter and the receiver would not be apart further than 1 m
5th Using a plastic rod or a small screwdriver, press and hold the pairing button on the receiver (located on the left side of the receiver, just above the antenna). Over the next few seconds, the LED on the receiver flashes slowly at first, then quickly and eventually will be permanently illuminated. Release the pairing button, RC rig is ready for operation.
Pairing with the receiver "type 2" (complete process including the choice of the transmission mode)

First The transmitter is turned off.
Second Turn on the receiver. Press using a plastic stick or small screwdriver pairing button on the receiver (located on the left side of the receiver, just above the antenna) and hold it for longer than two seconds. LED on the receiver will flash twice as long and twice delay with a short delay and then begins blinking rapidly.
3rd Press and hold the "PDM" on the transmitter. Turn on the transmitter. The moment the LED on the transmitter regularly přeblikávají, the "PDM" release. (Transmitter and receiver apart should not be more than 1 m)
4th The red LED will flash quickly to potrvrzení the operation mode for the transmitter "type 2" and then both LED přeblikávají again.
5th While both LED on the transmitter přeblikávají, briefly press the "PDM" on the transmitter. Both the transmitter LED lights, LED on the receiver off and then also lit continuously.
6th Pairing was successfully done, turn off the receiver, then the transmitter. Now you can turn on the transmitter and receiver, RC rig is ready for operation.
Note: If for some reason unable to determine in advance whether you have the receiver "Type 1" or "Type 2", just try both methods.

Setting Controller 1400 Beta Mk II (with transparent cabin)

The controller allows you to enable or disable the propeller brake. Proceed as follows:

First Start with the transmitter and the model off. Turn on the transmitter and move the throttle to full throttle position.

Second The controller, connect the drive battery.

3rd After about 5 seconds you will hear a long beep followed by a short.

4th Download the throttle on the transmitter all the way down.

5th A long and short beeps followed by a trill and a long beep. This is a signal indicating that the brake setting has been changed. The controller is returned to normal operation, you can take off.

6th The above procedure can always change the controller settings from the "brake on" to "brake off" or vice versa.

Setting Controller 1400 Beta Mk.III (with transparent cabin and wing mounting screws)

The controller allows you to enable or disable the propeller brake. Proceed as follows:

First Start with the transmitter and the model off. Turn on the transmitter and move the throttle to full throttle position.

Second The controller, connect the drive battery. After a short while you will hear two beeps.

3rd Download the throttle on the transmitter all the way down.

4th You will hear a beep. This is a signal indicating that the brake setting has been changed. The controller is returned to normal operation, you can take off.

5th The above procedure can always change the controller settings from the "brake on" to "brake off" or vice versa.
